How to Commission
You can order a custom painting of a subject dear to you: your pet, your house, your garden, your boat, your favorite river view. My commission works are unique in that I only work from visiting your site or sitting with the subject, taking photographs and making quick sketches we can view on the spot. This way I can style the work to fit your tastes. Together we decide the subject and size of the work. The complexity and size of the work determine the price of the finished work. Back in my own studio, I paint in watercolor a finished, detailed sketch of the proposed painting, which I send to you. When you and I have agreed that we are ready to move forward with the proposed painting, a 50% deposit is due. When the painting is complete, the balance is due.
Additional costs: For location paintings, the client pays airfare, travel and accommodation, due in addition to the deposit at time of agreement. Shipping and insurance if deemed necessary are calculated at time of finish.
All prices may be slightly more or less depending on complexity of work. Sizes are approximate standard. Individual painting sizes will be customized.
